Llangollen

Have you been BOFA'd? .... Have you seen one of our famous BOFA4x4 logos on your travels?
Tell everyone about it and maybe even post a picture (or two)

Llangollen

Once upon a time, a long time ago, March 2008 infact, me and the one who should be obeyed (Claire) were off on our first Wales Safari. Totally new to this game and only ever done offroading quarry days etc. We approached Llangollen looking to spend our first night in a cozy warm hotel, one thing at a time eh! As we got nearer the town we began to see more Landys all kitted up with roof racks, ladders, winches etc and began to think that our little 300tdi was a little under dressed with only a snorkel, arches and grizzly claw tyres!
In Llangollen itself all became clear when we pulled in to a factory carpark to help a distressed driver and co-driver who were peering under the bonnet of their steaming Disco wondering where all the water had gone!
We offered our assistance but were assured they were OK. They explained about the whole Macmillan thing and we carried on our merry way a little happier about the weekend ahead...
Not sure wether they were BOFA boys, if they were who were they!? ? ? ?

If it was around 8th March, it would have been the Mac 4x4 Challenge.

I'm sure it wouldn't be any of the BOFA lot though cos they never break down ....

I'm pretty sure it was team 22 the "Flying Flynn" (blue Disco with roof-rack and 2 spares on the roof).

I ended up bleeding the cooling system at Bala off-road course on the Friday night.
