BOFA4x4 Mini-Mac "taster" event to take place on Sat 18 February 2012.
It will be an all day event (and into the evening too) fun navigational event in the spirit of the "real MAC" event.

08:00 Arrive at Sainsburys
08:15 Driver registration
08:45 Driver briefing in car park
09:00 First vehicle away from car park (at approx 2 min intervals)
Daytime stages consists of several sections up to approx 150 miles.
16:00 - 17:00 End of daytime section
17:30 Start of night time stage (Section 10) - aprox 17 miles
18:30 - 19:00 End of event
Finish point: The Turf, Watling Street, Norton Canes, Cannock WS11 9ND
In keeping with the spirit if the 'MAC' event, details will only be revealed on a stage by stage basis, with participants not having any prior knowledge of the event.
Key information:
1. Strictly limited to a maximum 12 teams of 4x4 vehicles and is a non-competitive, fun navigational event suitable for all types of 4x4 taking part on mostly tarmac roads, green lanes and a little bit of water too!
2. Each team will consist of a least 2 individuals (all occupants must be wearing seat belts).
3. The event will be posted and "open" for entrants from today. In the event of all places being taken, a reserve list will be opened. Last day for entrants is 11 February 2012.
4. Entry is FREE - however ....... there is a lot of work that goes into organising these events and we respectfully ask that all teams taking part make a reasonable donation towards the Macmillan 4x4 Event in March 2012 via the Just Giving page:

5. There is no "minimum suggested level" of sponsorship, but please give generously (or even fund raise yourselves and get family / friends to support Macmillan by sponsoring YOU) - that way you can raise more for this worthwhile cause. Sponsorship forms will be availabel soon.
6. All maps will be provided by BOFA4x4. Please bring a road atlas with you.
7. Usual BOFA4x4 Terms & Conditions for such events apply.
8. Entrants will be given a set of clues / questions to answer in the style of the orignal MAC event - this is optional, but it's better to join in the fun if you can. This is not a race or competition.
9. Sat nav / Memory Map / GPS / etc are allowed ...... might be useful if you get lost and have to phone up the "hotline" for a postcode.

Please read this very carefully before attending any get together or event organised via this website. Please note that neither BOFA4x4 or the event organiser(s) will be held liable for any accident, damage, loss or any mishap whatsoever; on the way to, during or returning from any green laning event posted on the BOFA4x4 Forum and we will not enter into any correspondence regarding any claim relating to the above.
If you attend a green laning or other event or get together arranged on the BOFA4x4 Forum, you do so under the understanding that its of your own free will and at your own risk and you will relinquish all rights to entering the organisers, BOFA4x4 or its members into any claim or correspondence to any legal process or payments by attending the event.
You will be asked to sign a disclaimer at a get together or event to eliminate the organisers from any liability. If you are unwilling to do this, then please do not attend, as you will not be allowed to participate with the other members.
Please also note that these green laning events and get togethers are on a ‘free’ basis, the organiser does not provide any insurance cover (public liability or otherwise) for any events unless specifically stated otherwise in the details contained within the post.
If you think you will require additional insurance for a green laning get together or other BOFA 4x4 event, then its highly advisable that you get cover arranged on the basis that you will not be able to claim from BOFA4x4 or any of the members that have organised the event or get together. Please note, all vehicles attending a BOFA4x4 green laning event must be insured and in a road legal condition, including a valid MOT certificate.
