I thought it was a shame in some ways to have gone so far north (relatively, and for some it was far enough for them to pull out) and to not make more of the location, but for the money involved to take part I really can't complain. We got to drive some great Forrestry roads that wouldn't normally be open to the public, but I did get a bit bored of spotting number plates by lunchtime Saturday

Sunday's road sections took in some fantsatic scenery. All in all a great event.
It's easy to criticise, but for me it could have been improved slightly by having more time for the Friday night section and having a bit more variety on the Saturday forrest sections clue spotting (e.g. having some olympic themed things to spot as well as code boards). From the sound of things the marshalls were pushed to set things up as it was - it's a Hurculean effort to organise. Nice to have somewhere warm/dry to have a couple of beers of the evening.
We really enjoyed it and are still bemused by the Orienteering gong. Nice for BOFA to get some podium action though
Next year: sporrans big enough to smuggle booze into the bar?
